Last week we watched as Jonathan and His sister Mikal chose David over their Father. Just as we choose Jesus over this world. We also saw David have a pivotal moment in his life that would take him from being the Hero of Israel to being the most wanted fugitive in Israel. God sent him away, but God went with him. In our pivotal moments God has planned and is with us. Today I want to remind us about Israel asking for a king like the other nations and point out they got exactly what they ask for. But God told Samuel I will choose a king after my own heart. That is revealed to us today.
