As we begin chapter 5 this morning let’s think about where we have been. We were on the other side of the sea with the crowds who had shallow hearts only wanting Jesus for what he could give them. With Scribes and Pharisees who had hard hearts wanting to kill Jesus. With Jesus family who had distracted hearts wanting to control him and last the disciples who had good hearts in the process of growing to bare fruit. The ones with good hearts found themselves on the boat in a storm going to the other side. Their hearts like ours were revealed to be lacking faith and having fear. We left them asking the question who is this that the winds and seas obey.
