1 Samuel is a transition book from the book of Judges where God ruled, delivered and led the Children of Israel from being captive to their enemies. The theme of Judges is, there was no king in Israel, and every man did what was right in his own eyes. Samuel will be the last Judge of Israel and the first Prophet of Israel. Samuel will anoint the first two kings of Israel, one, the people ask for and the next one, God ask for. Let’s look now at how Samuel life began.
