In Mark 13 Jesus said thirteen times, do not be led astray, be on guard, or stay awake. Thirteen times this was the message. Stay awake was the command given by Jesus in the last words of chapter 13. This week, we are at Betheny, this is the city of Martha, Mary and Lazurus. They are gathered at the house of Simon the Leper, who would not be a leper at this time but obviously healed. Also in the house is Lazurus who had been raised from the dead. There is a meal being shared by Simon, Lazurus, Martha and Mary, the disciples and Jesus.
