We spent the last two weeks looking at the conversation that happened in Capernaum with the disciples. The conversation was over who was the greatest, over them being greater than those that were not with them. That ended with a strong warning of hell for the one that lives with this kind of Pride. Let me be clear we are not saved because we are humble or pretend to be humble, we are saved by faith in Jesus’ finished works. Because of the Spirit we receive when we are saved, we will have conviction and correction from our God concerning this kind of pride and other sin. Just because Grace abounds does not mean we can continue in sin, the Spirit in us will not allow us it will change us.
